Island, Garden or Pelican — all built to be serviceable.
Artesian sells across three tiers — the premium Island, the mid Garden and the value Pelican series — but they share a refreshingly standard foundation: Waterway pumps and Balboa controls. Whatever badge is on your cabinet, the heater and pump parts are common, in-stock components, so we diagnose and finish most Artesian repairs the same day.
What tends to fail on an Artesian
Across the Island, Garden and Pelican lines, Artesian relies on Balboa spa packs, so the codes are the universal set — FLO for flow, OH/HL for overheat or high-limit, SN for a sensor — with no proprietary decoding. That keeps diagnosis quick and means the part that fixes it is one we can actually get.
Artesian leaned hard into Waterway pumps, including their DirectFlow-style plumbing on some models, so pump complaints are common and familiar: a jet pump that hums but won't spin on a dead capacitor, a screech from worn bearings, or a wet-end seal that's started weeping. Those are all standard Waterway wet-ends and motors we carry, so a pump job doesn't become a parts-ordering wait.
The heater is a conventional flow-through assembly, which means the typical Florida failures apply — a grounded element tripping the GFCI, an element scaled by hard water so the tub runs lukewarm, or a high-limit reacting to low flow. A correctly matched Incoloy or titanium element and assembly restore it without any brand-locked part.

Answers before you call
The cabinet and features differ, but all three Artesian lines — Island, Garden and Pelican — run Waterway pumps and Balboa controls underneath. So the heater and pump parts are common across them, and we can service any of them same-day.
Usually not. Artesian's Waterway pumps use standard shaft seals, unions and o-rings, so a wet-end seal repair is a routine job with stocked parts rather than a full pump replacement in most cases.
Almost never. The heater, pumps and switches are universal Waterway and Balboa components, so a correctly matched standard part fits and performs properly.
Flat-rate — heater jobs from $189, pump seal work from $239, full pump replacement from $489. The $69 diagnostic is credited to the repair.
