Sundance / Jacuzzi heater replacement
Sundance and Jacuzzi spas use a proprietary titanium 'Smart Heater' — not a universal tube. We confirm the fault and fit the correct heater, flat-rate and same-day across Palm Beach County.

The proprietary Smart Heater
Sundance Spas and Jacuzzi (both built by Jacuzzi Brands) use their own Smart Heater — a proprietary titanium heater matched to their control systems rather than a generic flow-through tube. The titanium element is naturally corrosion-resistant, which is why it holds up better than standard Incoloy, and it's tied into the spa's board and sensors as a unit.
Because it's proprietary, the Smart Heater isn't a drop-in for a universal element or a generic assembly — the correct fix is the right Sundance/Jacuzzi-spec heater. Jacuzzi controls often show flow faults as FL1 and full-text messages on the J-400 line, while Sundance topsides display their own codes; reading them correctly is part of the diagnosis.
A failing Smart Heater usually shows as no heat or lukewarm water, occasionally with the breaker tripping if the heater has grounded. We confirm it's the heater — versus the circulation pump or a flow/pressure switch starving it — before quoting the proprietary part.
The faults we see most
No heat
The heater stops firing and the water cools toward room temperature.
Tripping the breaker
A grounded titanium heater leaks to ground and trips the GFCI when it fires.
Lukewarm water
A weak heater — or low flow feeding it — can't hold the set temperature.
Proprietary part only
No universal substitute fits; the fix is the correct Sundance/Jacuzzi heater.
Why we test the flow first
On Sundance and Jacuzzi spas, lukewarm water or a flow code isn't always the heater. The Smart Heater is fed by a circulation pump — often a Theramax — through a flow / pressure switch. A weak circ pump or a failed switch can starve a perfectly good heater of the flow it needs to fire.
We confirm the diagnosis before quoting the proprietary heater — measuring flow and testing the switch so you're not paying for a Smart Heater when a flow switch was the real cause. If it is the heater, we fit the correct titanium unit.
Proprietary heater or flow switch
The Smart Heater is a proprietary titanium heater; sometimes the real fix is the flow/pressure switch feeding it. Confirmed at your $69 diagnostic, credited to the repair.

Answers before you call
No. Sundance and Jacuzzi spas use a proprietary titanium Smart Heater matched to their controls — it isn't interchangeable with a universal element or generic assembly. The correct, lasting fix is the right Sundance/Jacuzzi heater.
Not always the heater. The Smart Heater is fed by a circ pump and a flow/pressure switch, so a weak pump or failed switch can starve a good heater. We measure flow and test both before quoting the proprietary part.
Jacuzzi controls commonly show FL1 for flow and full-text messages on the J-400 line; Sundance topsides display their own codes. We read the code and verify the cause on site rather than guessing from it alone.
The proprietary titanium heater is flat-rate from $599. If the real cause is the flow/pressure switch feeding it, that's a lower-cost fix. The $69 diagnostic is credited to the repair.
